Repeatable Golf Swing Aids

March 24, 2008

The goal of every golfer is to have a synchronized and repeatable golf swing that produces a consistent result. It doesn’t matter if you fade, draw or slice (well maybe not slice) the ball. If you can’t strike the ball the same way each time, then you can’t confidently know how to plan your shot or know where your shot will land. How much better would your game be if you knew that every shot you took would be a fade each time or a draw each time? Two important elements in achieving a reliable and repeatable golf swing is having a smooth tempo and keeping the golf club on a consistent plane. That’s the path of the swing the golf club takes to strike the ball.

Factory-Direct Discount Golf Clubs

March 22, 2008

The big golf companies, Callaway, TaylorMade, Nike, etc. all rely on our thirst for the newest technology and our desire to have “crowing rights” when they market their clubs. The advertising, research and development costs for this technology are reflected in the cost of their clubs. Most of us don’t need the latest technology for our respective games. We don’t play like pros so it doesn’t make much sense to pay top-of-the-line prices. Why pay $500 for the newest TaylorMade driver or $1,000 for a set of latest Callaway irons when a set of well-made Discount Golf Clubs are available at a fraction of their higher-priced cousins. Has anyone purchased a name-brand driver lately? Are you happy with the kind of grip that came with the club? With factory-direct clubs, the quality of the components, such as the shafts and the grips, are the same or better in discount golf clubs than are found in their higher-priced equivalents. Many sought-after high-tech features (oversized heads, variable weighted heads in drivers) are also now available in discount clubs.

Personalized Golf Balls

March 20, 2008

Logo Golf Balls are a great selling toolFor those of you who take your clients out on the golf course, there’s no better way to make an impression than to give them a sleeve of Personalized Golf Balls with your name, your company (or logo) and your telephone number imprinted on each ball. They will remember you and the golf outing they had with you. If by some strange quirk of fate, a personalized golf ball winds up in the weeds or woods, your personalized golf ball might be found by someone who could be a potential new client. If you don’t think personalized or logo golf balls are not an effective tool, just remember the Susan G. Komen Foundation used thousands of pink ribbon logo’d Titleist golf balls to bring notice to its campaign to fight breast cancer to great effect.

Golf Fitness

March 18, 2008

Gary Player's Fit for LifeIf your game has hit a plateau, it may not be your swing, but your ability to make a swing. Your lack of golf fitness can be affecting your game. Sometimes the physical inability to get enough turn or staying in your stance can directly affect the length and accuracy of your shots. Flexibility and strength are just as important as your skill. Here is a book that can help your golf fitness from someone who has preached it for over 50 years — Gary Player.

Gary Player is one of only three players who have ever won the modern Grand Slam. The other two are Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods. He’s won tournaments world-wide but, at his prime, probably didn’t weigh over 140 lbs. He probably still doesn’t. Still playing competitive golf in his 70’s, I’m sure his book can help you acquire the golf fitness you need to play your best game.

3 Wheel Push Golf Carts

March 18, 2008

Great 3 wheel Golf CartWhen I play, I prefer to walk rather than ride. The exercise is great, walking suits my playing pace and I get a better feel for the course. But I’m getting to the age where carrying my golf bag is tougher, and using a 3 Wheel Golf Cart to carry my equipment makes it easier to enjoy my round. I find that the older 2 wheel golf carts are a little unbalanced and hard to pull but a quality 3 Wheel Push Golf Cart is ideal for my needs. Bag Boy is a quality manufacturer of push carts but their new 2007 3 Wheel Push Golf Cart has some great new features that are a marked improvement over their previous models. One of the features I like best is the maintenance-free tires because, if you’ve owned one before, repairing flat tires was a real pain. As with all Bag Boy push carts, it folds up nicely in the trunk and is pretty light-weight but sturdy. If you’re in the market for a new push cart, get one now at Amazon.com for 25% off today. If you normally rent a pull cart, this cart will pay for itself after a few rounds. Save your back, save some money and enjoy your round.

Deluxe Golf Travel Case

March 18, 2008

Deluxe Golf CaseI am an avid golfer and like to travel around to different courses. I have owned quite a few Golf Travel Cases. This one I must say exceeded my expectations. it is very light and easy to handle. One of the best features of this Golf Travel Case is the durability, It will protect your clubs through just about any situation. I remember one time, I was checking in and the porter dropped the case from the top of a tall stack of luggage. When I had a chance to examine it, I opened up the case and every club was intact and in place. Although there were minor scratches, which we all know will happen, There wasn’t a crack or break on the case itself, When I took my clubs out, there was no damage to my golf clubs whatsoever.

One of the best features I could ever find with a Golf Travel Case is when I want to fly with my clubs, the case is compact and I don’t catch grief from the airport security because it is made to travel. Even if you don’t own a SUV or van, this case will fit easily into any small car (Sorry, that does not include the Miatas).

If you are looking for a durable golf travel case and you care for the security of your clubs, you’d be hard-pressed to find a better one. Right now you can get a 10% discount by going to Amazon.com to purchase it, They have the best customer service, and shipping was very fast. Don’t hold out until this Deluxe Golf Travel Case goes up in price, get yours today and leave your concerns about transporting your clubs behind you.

Hello world!

March 11, 2008

It’s spring and for those of us not lucky enough to live in Florida, California, or the Sun Belt, the rites of spring include re-evaluating our golf games. For me, it includes thinking in general and specific terms about new equipment, new instruction and conditioning. What kind of game plan do you have for the upcoming season?
